This book is a must read. I have purchased two others and given them as gifts and have plans to order more. The information that has been shared is so enlightening. I never knew the history about the Salvation Army. I will look at the volunteers with a deeper appreciation from now on. I am starting to read it all over again as I feel the need to do so. I’ve shared segments with so many. David Jeremiah is a great author.

This book has all the elements one would expect by Dr. David Jeremiah. It is a refreshing view that I would definitely recommend to the seasoned Christian as well as the young Christian. Dr. Jeremiah’s teaching are always straight and to the point, not “over the head”, and simplified to help anyone understand the text he teaches. However, for the advanced Bible students, he keeps things to a good level as to not create a mundane course that too many other Bible teachers have a tendency to do. We, as Christians, are poised to look for all the desserts in our faith, often overlooking the simplistic material that not only grounds us in our daily Christian walk but also keeps us grounded. I believe this book will help to remind the reader that, as Paul says, “We preach Christ and Him crucified.” To add to or take away from that is likened to say that the Cross is not enough. That’s where this book leads us – “His grace is sufficient.”
